Did you know that Manchester City manager Mark Hughes was once a favourite of The Citizen’s cross-town rivals Manchester United? Hughes spent 13 years in two spells at Old Trafford and toured South African in 1993 with the Red Devils. The 45-year-old also played for European giants Barcelona (Spain) and Bayern Munich (Germany), as well as famous English clubs Everton and Chelsea. He finished his career with Blackburn Rovers, who he would go on to manage before joining City in 2008. He also won 72 international caps for Wales.
